Dual Clutch transmissions or also commonly known as "DCT" are amazing when working correctly assisting in giving smooth pull away and seamlessly fast gear changes.

We have a lot of experience with this type of transmission here at H&C's diagnosing issues relating to them should they start to give symptoms such as juddering/snatching from cold, slow or harsh gear-change characteristics are some of the more common problems.

They are generally very reliable but sometimes need replacement due to wear like this BMW M3 in the photo's. This shows the transmission removed and the cover plate removed exposing the clutch pack assembly.

Many of the higher power output range of cars like the BMW M Power Vehicle and Mercedes AMG range use them to cope with the huge amount of horsepower and torque put through them.
